ANCHOR HOUR: Anchor Hour is a 45 minute block of time built into the school day that allows students to eat lunch and get extra help in a class, work on classwork with support from teachers and/ or peers and get involved in the many clubs that are offered at FBHS. Currently, students who rely on bus transportation have severely limited opportunities to benefit from the full Pirate Advantage and the Anchor Hour will solve that problem.
Not only will the Anchor Hour help students receive the needed assistance, it will also allow more time for teacher planning and time for teacher collaboration. Teachers will be setting up "office Hours" one or two days a week. This is not mandatory but highly recommended.
SECURITY ENHANCEMENTS: Over 50 high resolution cameras have been installed around campus to ensure students' safety. The cameras have internet and mobile capabilities for school administrators and are linked to the police department. Members of the FBHS Foundation were instrumental in bringing this safety technology to the school.
NEW CLASS: FBHS is excited to offer AP Computer Science and AP Research for the 2018-19 school year
